About
People Living Through Cancer is Dedicated to Putting Lives Together
People Living Through Cancer, Inc. (PLTC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 by and for cancer survivors and their loved ones. PLTC is one of the nation’s oldest cancer survivorship organizations. We offer support and education throughout New Mexico to cancer survivors, their families and the healthcare professionals who care for them. The first group of its kind in New Mexico, PLTC continues to be a leader among survivor-based cancer support organizations in the country. PLTC brings together those who understand the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual repercussions of cancer. In short, we’ve been there. Our programs and services are designed to help people face the challenges of cancer and achieve the best quality of life.
We are a community of cancer survivors, family members, friends, healthcare professionals, community leaders and volunteers that support survivorship. In 1986, PLTC launched the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, and in 1996 and 2002, PLTC was honored for excellence by earning the prestigious Quality New Mexico recognition.
PLTC Support Services Are Offered Free of Charge.
