| At People Living Through Cancer, we recognize that cancer affects not only the person who is diagnosed but family and friends, too. Whether you are looking for information, resources or simply want to connect with others going through similar experiences, our community has something for you. Many people in this situation do not immediately identify with the term “Caregiver.” You may not believe that it fits you, especially if you feel that you’re “just doing what I’m supposed to do.” You may even believe that drawing attention to your own needs will somehow detract from the efforts to help your loved one. Being a Caregiver is, however, an important role to recognize. It allows you to be an active participant and an essential team member in the fight against your friend or loved one's cancer. We believe that you have the ability to make a difference. In this section, you'll find information and resources specifically for Caregivers: those who provide physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, or logistical support to a person diagnosed with cancer.
